Issue: FeatureBase Community won’t startup on Mac

FeatureBase Community won’t startup on Mac OS after successful installation.

Prerequisites

• Install FeatureBase Community on mac
• Startup and connect to FeatureBase Community

Probable cause

This may be caused by the MacOS Gatekeeper system

• Learn about Apple Mac Gatekeeper and the Quarantine flag

Solution

1. Open a Terminal Window
2. Run the following command to disable the quarantine flag:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine opt/featurebase
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine idk/*
